I was able to get some scrappin' time in today and yesterday....YEAH!!!! I made this for a challenge over at http://www.treasuredscrapbooking.com/ for Abbie's Recipe Challenge: We had to use flowers, three photos, scallops and an oval! Well, I love a good recipe, so this is what I whipped up for todays main course!! I cut the scallops using cricut PS cart, I used flowers, 3 adorable photo's of my nieces who are the same age, but different sides of the family, and an oval. I covered the decorative oval (thickers) with glue and attatched tiny sequins all around...I was really just playing, but I liked how it turned out!

Dream BIG...shooting star!!!!
This immediately popped into my head when I saw this challenge at treasuredscrapbooking. I used my cricut for the star (George), the dream big title and the moons (GS). I used a punch and emboss (from around the block) for the wish cut and used a scalloped punch and my favorite threading water punch. The moons are dangling from the card with twine and I added some sheer ribbon to make it look like a shooting star. I love how this turned out!!!

Some free time on my hands!!!
I had some free time, so I was able to create!!! Thanks to Aymee I got hooked over at Treasuredscrapbooking.com I love the monthly challenges and now they have a treasured hunt challenge that I am excited to enter! I can't post what I created until the end of the challenge...but I can post what I created for the monthly challenge. I created this LO (the pic stinks...I need a 12x12 scanner) of my son's favorite things to do at 7 years old...he did the journaling in his handwriting and the picture I chose was perfect because he loves to wear polo shirts and his hair grows so fast and is always fuzzy!!! The challenge was Erin's coming up 7's where we had to use the number or word seven, 7 of one embellie and 7 different patterned papers! I cut the 7 patterned papers in circles and used Tim Holtz's game spinners with 7 brads and I used the number and word seven. I am pleased with how this turned out and I know I will cry when I see it in another few years!!!

Summer FUN!!!
So, I haven't been on in a while...busy making summer memories!! We don't have a pool in our yard and we were glad for the meer fact that we were afraid with the kids...now they are bigger and understand rules and safety so we recently bought a
12' intex pool for the kids, not only to stay cool and for us "big" people to swim, but also to teach the kids to really be able to swim. Christopher knows how to swim, but could he really swim in deep water? Sammi doesn't know how to swim and before this year, she really had no interest in going under water. So, to our surprise, after a week of the pool up and Sammi going under water with her swim vest and getting comfortable....Sammi learned how to swim underwater and do the back stroke. As, for Christopher, we feel pretty comfortable that he can swim and he does well! We are so proud of both of them and we are all having so much fun being able to stay in the backyard and swim, play, relax, and listen to our favorite music on our Bose soundock!!! We are having a wonderful "STAYCATION" and looking foward to the rest of the summer!! Maybe one day we will have a bigger pool, but for now, we love what we have!
