Oh Christmas Tree...Oh Christmas Tree!!!
Here is a paper Christmas tree that I made following the directions found HERE. I purchased a small round pot from Michael's (already painted) and used the green styrofoam found in the floral section (opposed from the white styrofoam)which worked out great! I used hot glue just to secure the paper and pins and I made my own small gold bow for the top of the tree. I, also, used my cuttlebug for some of the paper strips just to add some detail! I just love how it turned out and so did everyone else....guess I know what gifts I will be making next year as hostess gifts!!!
The Carousel!!
We have a family tradition that the day after Christmas we go ice skating and to the carousel right next door!! This year, because of all the snow we've had, the skating rink hasn't been open, we were disappointed, but we did get to go to the carousel. There was no one there when we got there and we had a great time. Chris and I took the kids and my niece and we were just goofing around! My husband even went on...on a horse...that's a big deal for us because he never goes on rides, especially ones that go up and down and around...LOL!! We had so much fun!!!
Photo Sharing!!
I hope everyone had a very magical Christmas! I would like to appologize...I had ordered 2 cricut Christmas hats and had all good intentions on giving one away. Things got rather hectic here with two family members passing away right before the holidays. So, I am sorry that things didn't work out the way that I had wanted to. On a happier note, I was a part of Secret Santa gift exchange at TreasuredScrapbooking.com and I want to thank my SS for sending me such a nice package. I put it under my tree and opened it on Christmas morning. Thank you I love all my new goodies!!!P.S. sorry for the terrible pic...this was after Christmas and I had no make up and had been crying for days!!
Here are some of my favorite pictures from our wonderful morning with the kids!!
We had a wonderful Christmas morning at home with all of Santa's gifts...Santa went a little overboard on the Zhu Zhu pets!! I got a bunch of scrappy goodies...including an ATG gun and a Yourstory book binding machine!! I can't wait to have some free time to play with my new toys!! I hope you all enjoyed your day with family and friends!!

Wow, I am behind!! I have been so busy and my Grandmother passed away last week. We have been running all over. Anyway, here are some pictures of my daughter. She was Cindy Lou Who in the parade, she was so cute! The other pictures are with her favorite Rudolph that I made her last year! She is such a snuggle baby! I need to get my act together and upload some Christmas pictures. We got over 2 feet of snow last night and we are running in and out of the house playing!!

Give Thanks Mini Album!
I finished my Thanksgiving album, with the exception of adding the pictures! I used canvas board and inked it and used my bind it all for the binding! I passed out tags for my family to write what they were thankful for. I created pockets in the album to put the tags in. I used my favorite Martha Stewart punches and some cute images from a childs year cartridge! I added some ribbon to the binding and the tags! I know this album will be treasured for years to come! I also let the kids draw and journal what they were thankful for...My son and my niece were thankful for turkey, which they didn't eat and my daughter was thankful for her family and my parents dog, who she just adores!! Here are a few of the inner pages....
New Sweet Treats Cartridge!!!
I had a little time today, so I broke out my new cart...Sweet Treats!!! I made a cute little cupcake treat box...I cut it at 3 1/2"....I used my cuttlebug to add texture! This was so quick and easy and so adorable! I also made a quick birthday card for my father's Birthday tomorrow! I used some boyish Martha Stewart papers. The candle numbers are such cute feature on this cart! I just love this cart, I am so glad I bought it. I wasn't going to because I have a few carts with birthday and cakes and cupcakes, but this has some really cute images!
Jetmax cubes....great storage!
My husband was kind enough to take me to michael's after Thanksgiving dinner! I bought a few new cricut cartridges and 6 jetmax cubes. I thought I was going to be able to use the additional coupon for 30% off, but I wasn't able to. I wound up getting all 6 anyway. I LOVE them, they are just right for all of my needs....paper storage, inks, favorite letter stickers, etc. Now, I don't have a huge mound of paper on my desk and I love having all of my most used products right there for me. I find creating is much smoother now!

Finally Finished!
We had a crop at treasuredscrapbooking.com last week and I just finished up my last 2 lo's. I did not get to submit them in time, but they were in the works! I was able to clean up my scrap room and therefore was more productive!
For this lo, we had to do something that we don't normally do on a lo....I used bubble wrap and paint for the background and I tore the edges of the paper! This is one of my favorite pictures of my son...I love that he is in the tree and looking away....I just love it!
For this lo, we had to use a member of TS lo and pick an element to use as inspiration. I chose to use mushrooms from the lo and change them up a bit. I cut paper stems and used chipboard glitter hearts! I added some felt embellies and some doodling with a white gel pen!

A Dream Come True for 2 Little Girls!!!
We brought my 5 year old DD, Samantha and my 5 year old niece, Madison to see MILEY CYRUS in concert!!!!! We went yesterday to the sound check party and we got our picture taken with Miley!! She had her arm around my back...she is a beautiful and friendly girl!! My daughter was terrified of the drums..she cried, covered her ears and wanted to leave...she kept saying...."Mommy, this is not what I expected, I think we should leave!" Poor thing...once she saw Miley and heard her sing, her eyes lit up, she was dancing and screaming!! Miley waved to the girls and they melted! It was a 10 hour day for us and the girls were so good! We got home late and we all woke up with a headache and a sore throat!! Her concert was awesome...a little sexy if you want the truth, but a dream come true!! The expression on the girls' faces was absolutely priceless and a moment in life that we will never forget!

A productive week!
It has been a productive week for me with the week long crop at treasuredscrapbooking. Here are two more projects. This one is for a challenge where we had to use "change" (real money) on a LO! I cut the flowers with cricut, painted them a bit, curled and added some change in the center! I used the new MS garden lattice punch and some cardstock letters!I alsom made the leaves with fabric, tulle and ran a pin down the center to cinch it a bit!
Sorry the pics are so bad, This is vibrant in person, but wouldn't photograph well!
Here is a card that I made for a challenge where we had to use beads! I embossed the background with cuttlebug and cut the snowman out with cricut. I added some beads to the hat and the scarf. I hand beaded the snowflake and tied with ribbon!

Season's Greetings card!
I started with a business size card and used 3 different punches. The new MS garden lattice punch, the rings corner punch and a scalloped circle punch! This is for a challenge at treasuredscrapbooking, we had to use some punches on a card!
The new MS (Martha Stewart) punches are great, they are so pretty, easy to use and if you use a coupon at M's they are very reasonably priced!!I love using them on my projects!

When I count my blessings......
I made this tri fold card for a challenge on treasuredscrapbooking! We had a recipe to follow and this is what I came up with. I used my cricut to cut the tree, owl and the plaque! I used punches for the border, the butterflies, the scalloped circle and the mini flowers. I added lots of bling and tied it all with a bow! This is my Thanksgiving card to my husband and kids!
