I added some stickles and bling to make it shine like my daughter's smile!! We took the kids to a festival and my daughter and I went on the swings over ten times...and we loved it!

I designed this for Thoughts2paper and the cricut cartridge can be found in the store!

Siblings Swimming to their hearts content!!

Good morning! I designed this page for Design Team work for Thoughts2paper! I used the 'Sweet Summertime' kit from Echo Park...I love the colors in this kit! These are pictures of my kiddos last summer when we bought them a pool to teach my daughter how to swim. I would hear her say," swim with me brother!" and he would. I hope that they will always have a bond like they do now! My son loves being a big brother and protects her and my daughter loves being the little sister and loves being protected!
I used 'A Childs Year' cricut cartridge for the little girl with the tube and the pinwheel, both cut at 4". I also used the 'Sweet Summertime' kit from Echo Park. Both the cartridge and the kit can be found at the Thoughts2paper store! A sweet & simple summer fun layout!

Exciting news up the whazoo!!

Good morning! I have been showered with gifts all week and had to share my excitement!!
First of all, my husband bought my kids and I a Martha Stewart Cricut Cake machine when it aired on HSN last week!! We were all so excited...well, it came today and we had to open it and see just how beautiful it really is!!

Then to top that off, through my cricut cirle message board.....I won a Martha Stewart cake cartridge!!! I was thrilled when I was notified that I was a winner and I just can't wait to make some yummy and beautiful treats with my new stuff!

Now....more good news...I know, really!! I filled out a survey through the circut circle message board and I won a gently used Cricut Expression for my children's Elementary school!!!! We were so excited to find out that they won a machine and I can't wait to show all of the teachers how to use it to decorate their classrooms!!! I am telling you....what a wonderful thing that Provocraft did...not only did I win, but there were 500 winners and each of them received a cricut E for their school!!

Now, my really, really, really good news is.............................................................

we are leaving for a week long vacation to Myrtle Beach today!!! We have a 13 1/2 hour drive ahead of us, but that is ok. Once we are there, we are soakin' up the sun, swimming and the best part for me is that I don't have to cook!!! YAY!! On that note...the only bad thing is that I won't be able to craft for a week, but I will have lots of pics to scrap when I get back. Ok, so we are off! Have a wonderful week and don't forget to look for some yummy treats being posted when I return!!!

Bonjour Mon Amie!

Here is a quick card that I made for my 6 yo daughter who recently told me that she wanted to go to Paris. Where did that come from...didn't see that coming!!! So I told her all about my trip to France when I was in High School and she asked me to teach her some French....well, it has been many years and I didn't remember alot. Once I started speaking to her...out flew the french words...we were all laughing...I couldn't stop. We found some books at the library and she loves them. So I made her this card...she is amazed by the Eiffel Tower and really wants to go...if she wasn't afraid to fly, I might consider it...am I nuts?

Christmas in July!

Well it is Christmas in July (technically on the 25th) and I am in the spirit. On Friday, we took my Gram out for her 79th Birthday and my daughter asked if we could go to Wally World after dinner, so we did. I couldn't resist buying another Cricut Lite cartridge...I really couldn't...I guess you could say that it was a 'Christmas' present!!! I got Hoot 'n Hollar...a super cute owl cartridge! When I saw all the cute Christmas images...maybe only 5 on the cart...I knew right away that I wanted to make this card. The phrase was cut at 1 1/2 inches, the branch 2 inches and the owl 2 1/2 inches. How cute is that branch with the dangling ornament??? I used a bunch of fun colors and a blue snowflake background, I also used the cuttlebug to add some texture!
Merry Christmas!!

Thinking of You Card using So Sophie Papers!

Happy Hump Day!!! I can't believe how fast the time is going already...the middle of July already...really?!?!!
Today I have a card to share with you that I designed for Thoughts2Paper as a special request from Liz, the store owner!! I had so much fun with this card. First let me start by saying that this is an Easel Card and the directions can be found at Splitcoaststampers.com! Second, I want to say that I LOVE MY LACY LABELS CRICUT LITE CARTRIDGE....it is so full of so many beautiful labels for cards and scrapbook pages. It is full of mix and match labels and phrases...the possibilities are endless!
I started with some So Sophie papers by My Minds Eye that can be found in the Thoughts2Paper store....beautiful warm colors. I cut the thinking of you label using the cricut lite cartridge and then punched some butterflies with a Martha Stewart punch. For the incide bottom of the card, I used a Martha Stewart punch...double loops, that can also be found in the Thoughts2Paper store. You need something to make the card stand up, so this punch was perfect! I absolutely love making these easel cards, I used the horizontal instructions for this card...there are instructions for a few different sized cards.

Supplies used: So Sophie by My Minds Eye, Martha Stewart double loops punch, Zva pearls...all found in the Thoughts2Paper store. Additional supplies used: Martha Stewart butterfly punch and Lacy Lables Cricut Lite Cartridge.

I love me a good sketch!!!

Hi there! Hope you are all having a fantastic Tuesday...the weather is not so nice here today. I took the kids to the library for crafts and to get more books to read. They each joined the reading program at the library and have a big ice cream party if they read 6 books in 6 weeks....they are almost done!!

I have 2 projects to share with you today while I am anxiously awaiting the cricut circle message board to be open!!
Here is a layout that I made using a fabulous sketch from Thoughts2Paper! I love Del's sketches, they really help me to get a layout done and pics on a page! Ok....here is the sketch

and here is what I did with it....a close up of the flower arrangement I made: I flipped the sketch and used three 4x6 photos vertically on the page, added a frame to the center photo and some ribbon. I hand stitched the flower stem using Bazzill 'In stitches' template and floss. I made the large flower by crumpling and misting a newsprint flower diecut and misting a prima flower. I made some rolled flowers using some scraps and I cut the butterfly using the 'serenade' cricut cartridge that can be found in the Thoughts2Paper store and added some sheer butterflies! I used all So Sophie papers from My Minds Eye that can also be found in the store.

Supplies used: So Sophie~thoughtful flower, ledger swirl and forever with you frame; Helmar 450 and scrapdots, Bazzill In stitches, cricut serenade cartridge, white prima flower: all can be found in the Thoughts2Paper store. Glimmer mist, sheer butterflies and ribbon from Thoughts2Paper stock.

My second project is an easel card using a sketch. I made this for the
365Cards challenge...using a sketch and white space with a Christmas theme. Here is what I did:
I got the directions for this easel card here and I made it into a 6x6 card. I embossed the red cardstock with the Emily's bouquet embossing folder and I embossed the poinsettia with the textile folder. I cut the poinsettia with my Gypsy using wanderings, I believe...lol!!
Supplies used: cardstock, Emily's bouquet and textile embossing folders, red crystals, ribbon and holiday stamp.
*(ok, so I just realized that it didn't have to be Christmas, but I was in the mood anyway...lol!!)*

Commotion in the Ocean!!

Hello everyone, today, I want to share a layout that I made using some action shots of my Son Christopher at the ocean! I designed this using some fabulous products from Thoughts2Paper. I love working with the page backgrounds that can be found in the store, this one is called Block Bracket and it was cut in a tan cardstock that I thought was perfect for these beach pics because it was a sandy color! I added some white dots for texture using a Sakura glaze pen. I also added a star crystal ( looked like a starfish) and some pearl strips ( looked like bubbles). I kept the chipboard letters 'naked' because it was a sandy look and used a Jenni Bowlin beach bingo card.

I didn't add any journaling, because I wasn't sure where to put it, so I did all of that on the back of the layout, so I would atleast know the details! Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Supplies used: Page Background, Zva pearls, KaiserCraft alpha chipboard, Jenni Bowlin beach bingo cards....all can be found in the Thoughts2Paper store! Additional supplies: Bazzill shimmer cardstock, Sakura glaze pen and star crystal from BoBunny stash.

4th of July Centerpiece!!

Happy Independence Day!!!!
Here is a festive centerpiece that my Daughter Samantha and I made together! We used the Independence Day (limited edition) Cricut cartridge that can found in the thoughts2paper store . I love the images on this cartridge and although there are no creative features, there is some layering on the cuts. I used a metal tub from Michaels and white lollipop sticks...I glued the images to the sticks with Helmar 450 quick dry adhesive...also found in the thoughts2paper store ( I love this stuff and if you haven't tried it you should!!!). I added some curling ribbon to the sticks and some of my sons flags...I am so happy with the way that it turned out...just so festive and fun and full of red, white and blue!!!

We always go to my Husband's Aunt's house after the 4th of July Parade, so we thought we would bring this centerpiece and card (and some festive cupcakes) this year!

Here is the card that we made using the 4th of July and hat cut. We used the stars cuttlebug folder and popdots for the hat!

I hope you all have a fabulous 4th of July weekend full of FUN!!!
