Father's Day Layout with the Distrzz it All!

Hi ladies....happy Tuesday! Today is the 15th and that means another fabulous sketch at Thoughts2paper! Here is sketch #4 made by Del...

If you have not played along in these sketches please come join in, they are a great way to get creative with a little jump start! I absolutely love Del's sketches, they are just the mojo I need to scrap a fast layout and boy these will come in handy this busy summer!

Seeing as it is coming up on Father's Day, I decided to do a layout for my Husband using pictures of him and the kids and I wanted to make it 'manly' ...lol, so I used the ever so handy tool....the Distress it All by zutter...love it and it can be found in the store...don't forget the sale is still going on, use coupon code DadDay30 to receive 30% off!

Here is what I created using this sketch....

Supplies: Distezz it All by Zutter, Helmar 450 adhesive, zapdots: all of which can be found in the store! My Family papers, embellishments, rubons and ribbon trims (coming soon to the store) by Fancy Pants Designs. I also used some cardstock, ink and twine.

Beachy keen cake!

Hi ladies, hope you all had a great weekend! We were super busy...yesterday, I spent all day making a 3 tier cake for my in laws 40th Anniversary party that my SIL and I planned! I spent about 6 hours on this cake, but I have to say for my first tiered cake, I think it came out great. There were some flaws, but all in all it went over so good. The bottom layer was strawberry filling, the middle layer was chocolate pudding and the top was just buttercream (my hubby doesn't like filling). I made my own buttercream frosting and used fondant that was died to match the adorable beachy cake topper! I bought the sugar seashells, I thought they were perfect for the cake! Everyone raved about it and made me blush! So, here is myself and the cake...mind you this picture was taken after many hours of set up and preparing for the party...lol! Now that all of my parties are done, I am all set to start scrapping again...until Wednesday...the kids have field day and beach parties and my daughter is marking a milestone in her life...a huge one in my eyes. Samantha at age 6 is donating over 10 inches of her hair to Locks of Love and I am very emotional over it. So stay tuned for some cutie patutie pictures of her!

Hats off to the GRAD!!

Here is a quick 20 minute card that I made for the 365 cards challenge! We had to use atleast 3 of something and everything had to be in a row! With it being graduation time, I chose to do a graduation card in our school color. It took me most of the time to find this pp in my stash that was perfect for this card. I cut the hats and the diploma with my Cricut using 'A Childs Year' cartridge and I embossed both the background and the hats. This came together so quickly and easily and I like the end result...now to find a graduate to give it to...lol!!

A Refreshing Glass of Lemonade!

Here is a cute card made with the 'Just Because Cards' cricut cartridge...it is full of phrases and images for the cutest everyday cards! You can purchase this cartridge at the thoughts2paper store! I used Bazzil cardstock and some pp from DCWV...it is probably hard to tell, but I used glossy accents on the lemonade and the inside of the lemon...it looks like a real refreshing glass of lemonade! I also used a white gel pen for some dotted accents on the letters! I hope you have a 'refreshing' day!

Little Girls are a GIFT!!

I wanted to share a sweet little treat that I made for my Daughter! She had been crying when I left her at school, so we made her a sticker chart...at the end of the week if she earns her stickers, she gets a treat. She has not cried in three weeks!
I wanted to show you her treat this week!

I made this sweet scallop card and popcorn box (coming to the store soon) and used my absolute favorite paper....Paper Dolls Collection found at thoughts2paper and the EKSuccess zig zag punch also! I added some eyelets and tulle for the popcorn box, so my Daughter could carry her treats with her. I put in some of her favorite candy...candy necklace and bracelet, ring pop, candy lipsticks (do you remember those?), an ice cream lip gloss and some silly bands ( one of the latest trends)! She was so excited to come home from school to a special sweet treat!!
Have a great weekend!

I SCREAM....YOU SCREAM....

We all scream for ICE CREAM!!!!!
I just had to share these pictures of my children and my Niece! Mister Softee has found his way into our neighborhood...and we are his best customers...lol!
The kids were playing in the backyard and my Daughter ran in screaming that the ice cream man was coming...out the front door she ran followed by my Son and my Niece! I was frantically looking for my wallet...no where to be found...I ran out to the car...not there. Here I am thinking that I lost my wallet and now I have to disappoint the kids and tell them no ice cream. So I tell my Daughter that I can't find my wallet and she says,"don't worry Mommy, I have it!" That's right...she grabbed my wallet as she was running out the front door screaming! I had a little chat with her after they all got their ice cream. Now check out the double cone that my Daughter Samantha got...yum yum!!! Now to get through the summer with trying to dodge the ice cream man...lol!!
