Good morning! Well after a very scary week last week with my 9 year old daughter fainting and numerous trips to the emergency room, she is back in school. She feels great, like nothing ever happened, which is great, but scary. Not sure if or when it could happen again is nerve wracking!
My husband and I went to her lunch at school yesterday, to check on her and make sure she eats, and she was great!
I found these cute stamps in my stash and decided to whip up a card to bring to her. The monkey's remind me of her and I..lol!
I stamped the image in brown and colored it in with my chromatix markers, which I am not happy with (thats another story). My stamp "just whipped this up for you" was too big to put on the font of the card, so I decided to break it up. I put masking tape over the words I didn't want, inked the stamp and then peeled off the tape and stamped on the paper. Then did the same for the bottom part of the sentiment. I love that I was able to break it up and make the sentiment fit on the front of the card! My card is A2 and i cur a mat in brown and then trimmed the paper with the image, I added some red bakers twine and tied a bow! Super cute and super easy!
I brought the card to her at lunch and she loved it! I also let her bring her elephant to lunch for good luck!

Thank You Notes
I was making some Mother's Day cards a couple weeks ago and was playing with coloring in a stamp. I used a CTMH rose stamp on watercolor paper. On the one strip I used some chromatic markers (shown in the second card) and the other strip I used glimmer mists and just painted the color on with a brush (shown on the first card)! I used some scraps of CTMH papers. I also used the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge to cut a frame for the sentiment and used a stamp from the $ bin at michaels. I like how simple they were to make and ye still look pretty!

Earth Day cupcakes!!
Happy Earth Day!! My plan this morning was to make some earth looking cupcakes for when the kids got home from school...however, my 8 year old daughter stayed home with a head cold and a sore throat. So we were planning on making cupcakes but needed a white cake mix so we sent my husband out to grab one. My daughter kept saying she felt funny and didn't feel well. Then she said she couldn't hear and she fell to the floor...of course I panicked and ran to her not knowing what happened. Well we took her to the ER after she fainted 3 times within minutes. She then fainted again in the waiting room. There was no diagnosis and we returned home. All she could think of was making cupcakes, so we did!
We died the white mix half blue and half green we put them in the liners alternating the colors to make them look earthy! We then cut some hearts with the cricut and made some cute picks!
Here is the quick card I had made and some of the earth cupcakes!
Hope you have a great day!

Just Keep Swimming
Good morning and happy Earth Day! I do have a card that I made the kids to share later but I was planning on making a earth day treat to go with it so hopefully I will post that later!
For now, I have a cute card to share! I have been watching some card making videos on you tube just for some inspiration and I came across Mary from CardzTV...there is a blog and she has some really fun stamp sets. I decided to join the challenge...make something and use buttons! Well I was looking through my newest Cricut cartridge Animal Antics and I saw the phrase "just keep swimming" and I knew I had to use it! My kids sin that every time they go swimming and it's from the movie "Nemo" one of our favorites!
Supplies used: Animal Antics cartridge, DCWV citrus stack, cream cardstock, buttons, adhesive.
Here are the cuts from the cartridge:
Page 64:underwater background 5.5 inches
Page 24: just keep swimming 2.75 inches (I only used 2 layers)
Page 24: snorkeling fish 4 inches
That completes this adorable card...I love the papers from the citrus stack... Picking colors is often a problem for me, but this bright stack made it simple. I love the cuts and the idea of the background all layed out on the cartridge is a great idea! Hope you like it too! And thanks CardzTV for the inspiration!

Spring Layout
Hi there! Here is the second page of the last layout I showed! I used Heidi Swapps 12x12 mistable papers. For the first layout I had cut out the center and used it as a frame...I wanted quite a bit of white space! Then for the second layout I used the inside of that first layout. I used the mustard mist for the papers and then rose and teal for the banners. I hope it looks as cohesiv as I did when I designed it in my head...lol!
I am really loving playing with the Heidi Swapp product that is available at Michaels!

Easter Treat
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! We sure did here...from egg hunts to ham dinner, it was a wonderful day spent with the family!
Now I wish I had more time to make more of these because these treats turned out super cute! I found the idea on Pinterest! My daughter painted the egg carton a pretty blue color and then we put some paper grass and filled with some chocolate treats and jelly beans! We wrapped it in cellophane and off it went as a cute Easter treat!
I will definitely take more time next year and collect egg cartons and paint them in advance, just cute & fun!!

Washi tape craze!!
Hi there! Well I made it through all day crafting on HSN and now can't wait to get all my goodies!
So, I had to just take a minute to share some great washi tape that I found at target today! I got an orange dot roll with an orange soda can type of dispenser and then a blue stripe one in a whale dispenser and get this...the blade to cut the tape is a mustache, how fun!! These were both smash products! Then I found some more rolls of tape in the clearance bin for only $1.20....for 4 fun rolls! Ok, well just wanted to share...my kids are at their grandparents for a sleepover so I may get to craft tonight...yay!

All day Crafting on HSN
Good morning! First off, congratulations to Lisa & Becky! Lisa is doing a great job on HSN and Becky's project life kits are just fabulous!
I am new to project life, but I can't wait to receive my kits so I can catch up on memories and actually do something with my thousands of photos!
I ordered the blush project life kit with auto ship...3 mini albums with coordinating pieces! I also ordered the blush cardstock kit, the big pack of assorted page protectors ( so I don't get tired of the same thing) and also the envelopes to store all of the little notes that we all exchange! Then before I went to bed, I had to order the jade kit as well! I will use Otto catch up on 2012!
I am just really excited to start recording memories without the stress of the whole scrapbooking process!
If you haven't already checked it out....I head on out and check out project life's debut on HSN....as well as other wonderful products!

Staying up late....
Well tonight at midnight on HSN is the big come back of Lisa Bearnson and she will be presenting the Project Life debut! I am super excited to see Lisa back on the air! I have been eyeing up project life kits because honestly I haven't been scrapbooking all that much and I want to! So I figure getting a kit will get me back on track and I'm hoping that I can keep up with it!
This last month alone I have been through so much medically an am sill feeling sluggish, but to get me in the spirit (while I wait to watch all day crafting on HSN) I put together this layout! These pics are from last summer and they are my favorites so I figured I would start with those!
I am in love with Heidi Swapps color magic line and color shine mists! I recently bought a grab bag from HS and am just getting around to using some stuff!
I wanted to keep the coloring somewhat simple so as to not take away from the photos!
Supplies used:
White cardstock and adhesive...the rest of product is Heidi Swapp: 12x12 color magic paper, flower trimmings, pennants, sunshine fringe trimmings, sequin arrows, color mist banners.

My Little Handy Man
I have really been enjoying May Flaum's class at BPS! Here I have a tag that I made...again while playing around! I misted the background with Tattered Angels Pumpkin spice mist and used an argyle template with midnight blue staz on ink. Then added some stamped and punched images with Tim Holtz tiny attatcher and a gear.
For the layout i made, I lightly misted the background with pumpkin spice and then the corners with Tim Holtz denim color wash! I also used some wood letters and used a text stamp with brown staz on ink! I also stamped the arrow strip using Teresa Collins He Said stamp!
Supplies: Heidi Swapp vintage chic bookkeeping paper; No Limits schematic paper; DCWV the guy stack; Teresa Collins he said stamp and decorative brads; Tattered Angels pumpkin spice mist, Tim Holtz ransom mask and denim color wash and tiny attatcher; staz on timber brown ink pad; pinkpaislee timber wood shop letters.
I have loved playing with colors and mists and stamps and different mediums!

Misted Tags
Well, to get myself back into the swing of being crafty, I treated myself to an on line class at Big picture Scrapbooking! I am currently taking May Flaum's The Curious Scrapbookers Field Guide class... Just the inspiration I need to get me bak on track and to use supplies that I haveon hand! Don't get me wrong, I have bought a few new goodies!!
This week we are learning to use our mists... Here are two of my favorite tags that I created using different techniques. The brown tag is a tri color base that I used mist with water and a brush, then stenciled with a mist and added stamped flowers that were misted as well! The bird tag is a stamped image and then painted using mists and water again and the background was misted as well. I also added a stamped and misted flower and some other misted pieces as well!
I am so pleased with the end results and I ha so much fun just being crafty again!

My little Fireman Cake
It was recently my sons 11th birthday and I had this cake mold that I forgot I had so I had to make it for him before he was too old for it LOL!!! It took about 3 hours to make the frosting and color and bag it all, but it came out great! He absolutely loved it and was so proud of me!! The flames on the base were so fun and easy and just added the finishing touch!

Give a little gift!
Here are some sour cream containers I made to hold some m&m's as a little thoughtful gift! They are super simple to make and are a unique shape that makes giving a gift simple and fun! I made them each a different size just to play! I also have been quilling abut with a kit that I've had for years! I quilled the heart to add to the gift tag!
Kitchen Towel Cake
My daughter and I went to a bridal shower and wanted to do something creative....here's what we did! We bought all of her kitchen towels on her registry both chocolate and plaids and then we bought brown ribbon and some red utensils from the $ store just to add a pop of color. The towels are wrapped around a roll of paper towels to give the cake some volume. We added a bottle of dish soap on top with a fan fold dish towel. I think it came out great and was a big hit at the shower!
A Fisherman Card
This is the card that I made for my father for Fathers day! I believe I found it on Pinterest! It was so quick and easy to make and we stuffed some rel lures in the pockets! Dad loved it!
