Let's SAIL away!
I wanted to make a simple Father's Day card for my FIL...we live in a boating area so thought I would use the sailboat from LAB cart. I love how these came out! I try to make more than 1 card when I create...one to give and one to keep for later!
My Sunflower Girl!!
This is a LO I made of my daughter and the sunflower that she planted at pre k. I am so impressed that she cared and nurtured a plant and watched it grow! I am so proud of my baby girl for growing so much in her pre k year. So, this pic was taken at the Mother's Day Tea party thrown by the pre k. We had such a great time and I was showered with so many gifts that she made that I will treasure forever! I love this LO...I knew right away that I would use the sunflower cut from WIMG and I layered it, used pop dots and curled the leaves a little.

A few cards today...
I had a little break today, so I made a few cards for a challenge on the cricut message board...I love doing the challenges!
For this one, I used colorbok paper from the $ bin at Target...I loved the black with a pop of color. I used a sakura glaze pen for the faux stitching (too lazy to drag out the sewing machine) and a flower with a puffy center from "heidi swapp" the hi is thickers letters.
For this, I used "life's journey" paper from K and CO. The fancy square was cut using Graphically Speaking cart and I just trimmed off the flourishes. The flowers were from the same cart...cut at 2 3/4, 3 and 3 1/4. I tied a bow through the button and added some teeny tiny pearls...I was pleased with how this came out!

Memorial Day Treat!!
We had a wonderful weekend with Daddy home! We went to the beach, to a fire department event with carnival rides and lots of friends, a BBQ at my parents, the kids slept over and played mini golf and went to the farm and we had a nice relaxing bbq at home!! Busy...busy..busy. I made these treats at my last cookie class for Memorial day weekend. It is a cookie boquet...the cookies were baked with lollipop sticks and then I put them in a tin with shredded paper. Everyone loved them and I had fun making them!! .

My sons Communion...we are so proud!!
My seven year old son made his First Holy Communion on Sunday. He was so handsome and, so cooperative. My husband, my daughter and I gave him a special cross and he wore it with pride. He was so proud of himself and we were proud of him. I made a whole bunch of goodies for his luncheon...including the cake. He wanted chocolate cake with cherry filling...and that's what he got. We had a wonderful lunch with immediate family!
Tic-Tac-Toe boards and pail favors!!
I made these tic-tac-toe boards to go in the pails for my children and my nieces and nephew. I gave one to each child for my sons Communion lunch to keep them occupied. I cut a white piece of cardstock 6.5x7.5 and matted it on a different color cardstock. I used a ruler to make the grid and left 1.5 inches at the top for the letters...some I used stickers and others I used cricut carts. The images were cut at 1.5 to 2 inches using my cricut and WIMG, LAB, AK and George for the star. I laminated the board (makes it durable and easy to wipe clean) and the images on the same sheet. Then cut apart. I used self adhesive velcro dots to attatch images (tip- let them sit for a day before removing the pieces). The kids had a great time playing with these at the restaurant.

Mother's Day gift set....
I made the MOM word book in DS using the MF cart and embellishing with SB cart. I cut the gift bag using my pazzles machine and embellished with SB and some ribbon!! I used My Minds Eye- laundry line papers...again...I just love them, the weight, texture and glitter!!!! I put a beautiful pair of earings in the gift bag and I just can't wait to give it to her!! I had so much fun making this word book...I hope I can find the time to make more!!
NY Yankees Birthday Cake!!
My DH asked me to make his female co-worker - a die hard Yankees fan - a cake for her Birthday! So, this is what I came up with. The cake is buttercream frosting and the blue is fondant. I hand cut the NY emblem and added the pinstripes (I know one is crooked....how did that happen????) LOL, it was fixed! She loved the cake and I was pleased with the outcome...I'm still new to the cake making scene!!!

Another card done...working towards my goal!!
While I am feeling better...I got into my car to go to spin class and it had no power steering...phoooey! So, I am stuck in while it is being repaired! So I made another card and I am working on a pretty little project for my Mom for Mother's Day!! Stay tuned to see what it is... for now I will post my card that I made for Okie's card shallenge on the Cricut MB. It was fun, simple and fast! I use SB for the swirls, cut at 1 1/4" and then used the negative strip...the butterfly was cut at 4", paper is My Minds Eye - laundry line (a thick cardstock with embossing and glitter) added a rubon hello and some bling on the butterfly and also...almost forgot I used the threading water punch by fiskars. Also, added some brown ink to the edge of card and butterfly!!
Didn't meet my goal....but I did get a surprise!!!
Ok...well, I regret to say that I did not meet my goal on NSD...I had a bad cold and a sore throat...so I did not get any LO's done, but I did do one simple card! I celebrated all day with scrapbook.com and played along in most of their challenges. My surprise was......da,da,da,da....My DH gave me the ok to order the cricut EXPRESSION from HSN....it will be for Mother's Day! I am soooo excited to get it and start playing. So, I give myself a week to regain my strenght and complete my goal..will I do it...

BBTB challenge....
Over at BBTB (bitten by the bug) the challenge was to use the border feature on the DC (doodle charms) cart. I love the little bus, so I decided to make my kids bus driver an end of the year thank you card. The "thank" was cut using the DS (design studio) that was inspired froma post on the cricut MB! I used the friendly forest papers....again (just love them)..and I am pleased with how it came out. Cute I think!!
A new ADORABLE stamp set...
I was in Michael's one day and saw these....had to get them seeing as I have a daughter and a son...how perfect!! OOOOHHHH so cute. They are quite large and they even came with the little sticker outfits for them. I will have to post a pic when I do something with them, but for now I just wanted to share!! P.S. They are from Me and My Big Ideas.
Love how this came out...
I made this card for my SIL using one of Okie's sketches from the cricut MB! I love how it turned out...I was a little unsure of the colors at first, but I love it. I used SYI for the frame and DC for the hearts. I also used my swirl CB folder for the envie and one of the hearts and added a rub on hi!!
A practice cake for my SIL...
