A couple more LO's!

Here are 2 more LO's from Gotsketch summer class. I love them both. I used my square punch for the boys LO and a mini heart punch and some embellies from heidi swap! I also made a very simple card with the same scraps! Can't remember what I used on the chatty cathy LO, just some papers and a scallop circle punch and some letter stickers that I had! I am loving having a sketch to go by...makes scrappin' much faster for me!

Pre K Memories!

I created this LO using a sketch from the GotSketch? 104 class that I am taking. I used DS and Alphalicious to create the alphabet border and the MF for the Pre k, I used thickers letter stickers (love 'em) for the "memories" title. I also used some old chipboard circles that I had and incorporated my daughter's handwriting...she was so proud!

Passing on another blog award....

A few more awards to pass on....

Ok sorry, I have been a little busier than expected! I haven't had a chance to pass on a few more awards that I received. I still need more time to discover some new blogs! I will hopefully have all the info. by the beginning of next week! Thanks for your patience!

Pink Octopus fun....

My daughter got a pink octopus sprinkler from her Grandparents for her pre k graduation gift. She told her Gramy that she wanted it and Gramy was going to find it no matter what...that's just who she is!!! Her Grandkids want...her Grandkids get!! Very spoiled...but that's what Grandparents are for...right??? LOL!! So, these pics are from a warm day when my daughter and my niece got to play...they loved it!
The sketch is from got sketch 104 part of a summer class that I am taking. I used cricut LAB for the wave border and the pink octopus. I also used some felt and glitter stickers for the title!

Honest scrap award...

Thank you Sandy http://detailsbysandy.blogspot.com/ for the Honest Scrap Award.

2. I am married to a wonderful husband who is also my best friend.
3. I would love to go back to school to become a teacher.
4. I love spending time with my whole family.
5. I HATE cleaning the kids fish tanks....every carnival they seem to win more fish.
6. I am an emotional girl...everything seems to touch my heart!
7. I am looking foward to a busy summmer and hope to spend a lot of time at the beach buliding sand castles with the kids.
8. I am not looking foward to both kids going back to school...it will be the first time in 8 years that I will be home alone for 8 hours a day! I am excited for them, but I won't have anyone to play with...boo hoo!
9. I am a dedicated mother and wife and I am appreciated (a wonderful feeling).
10. I spend way to much time on the computer!

Ok. So I am passing this award on to the following people, not quite sure if they already have the award...hope that is ok.

Stawberry Festival!

We went to the Srawberry Festival near where we live with my brother's family and my mom. We had a great time. We talked my mom into coming on the himalay ride with us. My son hated it and my daughter loved it. I think I got whip lash and my mom wanted to go again...lol!!! We spent a few hours there and then went to my parents house for yummy dinner and dessert...can you believe I didn't make a cake. Everyone was so disappointed. I have been suffering from terrible tooth pain and have been taking meds. I have also been trying to get all the teacher/bus driver gifts done and then my daughter graduated pre k. There has been so much going on, so very little time to be crafty. So, we had a wonderful day...we look foward to it every year!

Berry pickin'

We had promised to take our daughter to the local strawberry patch to pick strawberries, but the weather has been awful. We had one good morning, so we took her. She had so much fun and only ate 3 strawberries along the way. She came right home, washed them and ate half of her bucket! My husband had just as much fun as she did.

This LO was created using a sketch from a class at http://gotsketch104.ning.com/ and was used for another challenge at http://www.treasuredscrapbooking.com/ where we had to use a summer fruit on the lo. So this is what I came up with. At first, I thought it was a little busy, but I like the idea of all the photos on one page and I just couldn't resist all those cute embellies. I used cricut and the HK font for those sweet strawberrie embellies!

My new changito stamps...

So, I saw some posts over on the cricut message board using these stamps and just had to have some. We call our son our little monkey...now we call hi changito. When the kids saw them, they were so excited!! I created some quick cards for father's day with them. The first one is for my husband and the second one is for my brother. I used colored pencils to color them in because I have not had time to learn the magic color pencil technique yet. Here is a link to learn more.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QTlhizeETk&feature=related I just received my new changito playing baseball...both of my kids play t ball...I had to have him!! So, hopefully soon I will post some things with my new stamps!

For the bus driver

Here is a sweet little gift I made up for my daughter's bus driver. I am making one for my son's as well. I used a little tin bucket from target $ section and cricut for the paper signs. I made bus chocolate pops and we put a gift card in a pillow box that I made. I think it came out so cute! This is not the pic that I wanted to upload, but seems that when I resize them..my computer is eating them...lol!!

Last day of school!!!

Today was my little girl's last day of pre k...where does the time go???? I find myself saying that alot these days. Anyway, we were asked to chip in money and make a scrapbook layout for her teacher and helper. On top of that we wanted to thank the whole staff and other teacher's as well...so this is what I came up with. This idea was inspired by many posts over on the cricut message board...thanks ladies!! I used my cricut for the cuts...plantin schoolbook and my community. I used hot glue to hold the lollipop sticks on the die cuts. I made different teacher chocolate lollipops and apple cookies on a stick! I used styrofoam inside of a plain white photo box...kept that simple with some ribbon so as not to take away from the arrangement. Everyone loved it and thanked us so much. I had fun putting it together, but it did take quite a while...with the cookies and chocolate. Really can't believe my baby is done with school!!!

No Limits...

I made this quick LO using Graphically Speaking cricut cart! Everything except the stars and circle (george cart) was cut with GS. I love that circle cut out background...amazed by what my cricut can do! I added some eyelets which I haven't used in a long time! I am happy with how this turned out! P.S. I forgot to add that the sketch is from Got Sketch!

Family Photo Shoot!!

My husbands parents are celebrating their 39th Anniversary this week and we wanted to give them a picture of all their kids and grandkids. We got together at our local park and had my other SIL just shoot some pics! The kids were all fantastic and we got lots of great shots...thanks Lauren!!

My Daughter's First Hair Cut...what a memorable moment!

My Daughter got her first haircut at the age of 5...she never wanted it cut and I couldn't cut it (I wasn't ready) I am such a baby...really though I am very sentimental. So I took her, my son and my Grandma to "A Girl's Gotta Spa" so she would feel special...because of course she is!!! The ladies there were so kind...they made her feel like a princess. They gave her a certificate and let her keep some of her baby hair! Not very much was taken off, but she looked so much older. My baby is growing up!!!
I used a double page spread with the pictures as the main focus...I didn't want to add to much, but I wanted it to reflect her style. I used nursery collection papers, butterfly from SB, some heidi swapp bling and flower and the fiskars threading water punch. I love how it turned out and it only took 20 minutes to put together. A memory to treasure forever!!!

Freezer Paper T Shirt...

This is my first t shirt using the freezer paper method...you can find the tutorial here....http://cleversomeday.wordpress.com/2009/04/25/freezer-paper-shirt-video/
I used my cricut to make a stencil...I used the mickey font cart for the lettering and the Life's a beach cart for the lizard or gecko...my DS loves gecko's, so it is a gecko...for the wording...I had to type it in backwards and then use the flip button. Cut the freezer paper to 12 x12 and put freezer paper with the dull side down. Cut and iron to t shirt with the shiny side down...make sure it is really on..paint...let dry..peel off and voila...an adorable t shirt. My DS was so excited, he first thought that I bought it for him and when he found out that I made it, he was hugging and kissing me. Now, my daughter and my niece want their own!!

Purse cake for DD's 5 y/o friend!!

I made this cute little purse cake for my DD friend's party. I used a brownie pan, iced it and decorated, added some fondant flowers and a handle. Super easy to make and the girls thought it was so cute...the theme was shopping. The girls got to go shopping at Claires with a gift card....can you picture 8 5 year olds in a fashion store...too cute!!

Diamond card for 365 card challenge!!!

I made this quick card today for the 365card challenge. It had to be dominantly diamonds, so I immediately thought of the diamond "manly" looking embossing folder. I also used the positive and negative of a diamond cut at 1 1/2 inches (used GBS)...and added a leather embellie...I thought it was a nice male card...not crazy about the background paper, but otherwise like it!!

come check out the 365 card challenge....http://365cards.blogspot.com/
