You Color My World!

Good morning! It has been a hectic week and with living in an older home it seems that everything breaks at once! Lol... We need new wiring throughout the house and I blew 2 microwaves within a week! What are the chances?? Anyway, in the midst of all that I have been getting some new goodies delivered and one of them is the SSS March card kit!  I just love it!
So today I have a card featuring the crayon stamp from the stamp set in the kit called "Color And Sunshine" isn't that just such a happy name for a stamp set??

I used a t square ruler to make some lines on the Neenah white panel and stamped the crayons with Memento ink. I wanted them to be bright so I colored them in with my daughters new sharpie markers. I made some squiggle line as if they were coloring and added the sentiment along the bottom.  I used a purple card base and on the inside added a pink crayon!
Thanks for stopping by today!

All Because....

Two People Fell In Love! Hi there! Here is another card that I made (while cleaning the house)...so it took all day in bits and pieces!
Beware...there is a lot of gold and shimmer!

I added some gold glitter tape to the edges of a note card and then embossed the white panel with the MFT Moroccan tiles stencil...it adds subtle texture without a deep impression which is what I wanted.  I used a photo overlay from Crate Paper and added the same gold glitter tape to the edges...I just trimmed it in half so it wasn't a thick border.  I used some blue and gold flowers from prima and added some gold brads.  I used a sizzlet die for the leaves and used Viva Croco Gold Crackling color to them and just snipped it apart to add a little here and there!  The sentiment is from a Scrappy moms stamp set called "Sweet Something's"! I thought the sentent would work for either wedding or anniversary.  I gold embossed the sentiment and the people figures and made fishtails in both ends. I love how this turned out with the touch of bright gold and the gold crackled leaves and I just love the flowers with the sheer layer!
I am entering this card in the SSS Wednesday "wedding or anniversary" challenge!

Funky fun!

Good morning!
Here is a card that I made over the weekend for my 13 year old niece!  I couldn't wait to use the new MFT Smart Phone die-namics with the Friend Request stamp set! OMG...so much fun!

I used assorted washi tapes for the background and rounded the corners to go with the rounded corners of the cell phone! I adhered that to a white card base and rounded those corners as well! I added some foam tape to the phone to add some dimension. I die cut the speech bubbles using some blue papers and then stamped the sentiments in memento black ink! I love the little "hello" that is included with the die set! I added a small enamel dot for the button on the phone! This card was super quick and easy but I think it turned out great! I know my niece will love it!

Waving Hello!!

Good morning!
I have a fun card to share today using some new My Favorite Things stamps and dies!  I had so much fun creating this nautical card...I want summer to be here!!
There is a color palette challenge at MFT and the colors this month are kraft, sweet tooth, lemon drop and blue raspberry.

I created this card with those colors for this challenge! Come check it out!

I absolutely love the fish net cover plate die and it fits perfectly on a 4 1/4x 5 1/2 card base. On the top and bottom two rows I added some if the negative pieces just to add some interest. It was so therapeutic to put the tiny pieces in like a puzzle! I also used the swiss dots embossing folder on the sails!
Supplies:
Neenah desert storm card stock
MFT card stock
MFT Go Overboard stamp set
MFT sailboat die-namics
MFT making waves die-namics
MFT fishnet cover up die-namics
Cuttlebug Swiss dots folder
SSS sea glass ink
Coluzzle circle template

I entered this card in this months terrific Tuesday Challenge  at Scrappy Moms Stamps...the theme is "things that go"
Come check out the challenge and I believe there is a new release!

Glitter rainbow

Good morning! I have just loved seeing all of the different manufacturers new releases...Simon Says Stamp, Lawn Fawn and My Favorite Things are a few of my Favorites!
I recently ordered a bunch of stuff from MFT...they had the best nautical themed stamps and dies! I was super excited to get my package.....

That's just a few of the things I got and I can't wait to play with them....but with the kids on Winter break it has just been busy!
I ordered the MFT rainbow die (love it) and I was able to make this simple inlay rainbow card in about 10 minutes...maybe less! I needed a quick card for my cousin in college and I thought this would be perfect. Plus with all of the "white" snow we've had I thought it would be fun to do something colorful!

I inlayed all the colored rainbow strips into a white piece of cardstock and stamped the sentiment using the Avery Elle "handwritten notes" stamp set and adhered it to a piece of SSS Sea Glass cardstock! I added wink of stella glitter to the rainbow! The inspiration for this card came from Jennifer McGuire...a card she did a while ago showing the inlayed rainbow!  Now, I saved all of the pieces from all the colors I cut...but honestly I don't know if I can make a rainbow out of color order (ROYGBIV) but we will see!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

I am entering this in the ablognamedhero challenge...Roy G Biv make a rainbow challenge!

I only have eyes for you

Hi there!  We had another snow day today and the kids were home!  Good thing too because my daughter was running a slight fever!  We stayed in and rested!
I needed to make my husband a Valentine card and I had this card in progress for a couple days and then I saw a card that Vicky Papaioannou had made on her You tube channel and I just had to make the same card!  I hope she doesn't mind that I copied...I just loved the card!

I started with my Lawn Fawn "Science of Love" stamps and dies.  I paper pieced the birds using a tiny polka dot pattern.  I hand cut the body and the eyeglasses...so fun! I added some liquid glass to their glasses!  I used a SSS "Giving Thanks" stamp set for the branch and just masked off one of the smaller branches.  I used my Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 8 dies to make the card base and the blue layer, then stamped the blue card with Hero Arts polka dot stamp using SSS Sea Glass ink!  I stamped the sentiment using versamark and white heat embossed it!  I used a tiny heart punch for the hearts and added them to the branch as leaves and then up in the left corner to balance out the card!  I die cut two clouds using the "Into The Woods" dies. I added foam squares to the birds and one of the clouds.  I added glitter to the birds bodies, the hearts and the clouds and l added liquid glass to the one heart I between the two birds!
I think this card is super cute and I thank Vicky for the inspiration!  I will be using these Spellbinders dies more for card bases...they are just fun and easy! Thanks for stopping by!

Another Love Card

Good morning! This card has been in progress for a few days and wanted to share now that it's all finished up!  This has to be one of my favorite cards! I used the card sketch from MFT! The deadline to enter is in a few minutes but that's ok...at least I finished it and can get it in the mail today to my nieces and nephew!

The papers are from the January SSS card kit...so pretty! I used some silver sparkle tape (love that stuff) and then a mini heart punch to cut a couple of hearts from the tape as well!  I used the MFT "Celebrate Life" doodle stamps and colored it using Spectrum Noir markers.  I used some spellbinders to cut some scallop circles and foam tape to add some dimension. I also added some "wink of Stella" glitter to the colored areas of the sentiment!  Super fast and simple to assemble...thanks to a great sketch from MFT!!
I also entered this card at the SImonSaysStamp (SSS) Wednesday challenge: use a heart

Got Candy??

Good morning!
Here is a card that I made using some new stamp sets! I used the Hero Arts Tiny Flag stamp for the background, Avery Elle Handwritten Notes for the sentiment and Mama Elephant for Simon Says Stamp Filled With Love stamp and die set!  I had so much fun creating this card and mixing up the stamp sets!

I die cut the jar out of the yellow flag stamped background and added some acetate to the back and tied the right side with some green bakers twine. I stamped and black embossed the sentiment.  I die cut the jar out of a light blue color and stamped it. Then stamped and die cut the little gum balls...some have foam adhesive for dimension. I cut the jar lid out of black and stamped one of the little sentiments on a white tag (also die cut and stamped) and tied with some more twine!
Super simple but sweet birthday card! I think this can be used for either male or female, adult or child! I just wanted it to be bright and fun!
The inks I used for the gumballs and BG are Memento dew drops: rose bud, dandelion, pear tart, bahama blue, teal zeal and elderberry!
I am going to enter this in the Hero Art "Birthday" challenge at the Hero Arts Blog!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
