Happy Earth Day~~~

I hope you all have enjoyed your day! My kids have been learning about saving the Planted and all about Earth Day, so they were super excited! We planted a tree and did some recycling!
I had to run an errand for my Husband today, so I decided to drive the extra miles and go to A.C.Moore ( aobut 45 min. away) because the cricut cartridges were on sale for $40!! Ok, so I didn't conserve gas today, but I saved over $150...that counts right???!!! I bought 'Give a Hoot', 'Just Because Cards' and 'Paisley'...all so cute and so worth the trip! I also bought (shhhh, don't tell) cardstock pads all on sale and a MS punch around the page 'double loops'! So, I decided to make an Earth Day card for my kids for when they got home from school and I got them some bubbles too! I absolutely love the 'Give a Hoot' cart...really cute images! Oh and the best part of the card was that I used the DCWV 'Green Stack' made from 70% recycled paper (also adorable). So here is the simple 20 minute card that I made and the kids loved it! Have a great day!!!

Spring Fling

Featuring Me, Myself and I....yup, that's right....I finally did a LO with my picture...very very rare!!! I have to admit that I had so much fun from the photo shoot to puting this page together! I wanted to keep it fun and light...the way my new do makes me feel! I used My Mind's Eye 'laundry line' paper, creative imaginations narrative film strips, assorted ric rac and trim...joannes, Jenni Bowlin butterflies, Prima butterfly, fiskars border punch, tulle and recellections bling. I had fun creating the text and title in word and working my page around that!

2 More Challenges Done!!

This LO is for Julie's 'Monogram' challenge over at Treasuredscrapbooking! I used Hambly Screen Prints rub ons, cricut plantin schoolbook cart, American Crafts pp, cardstock, brown ink, WeRMemorykeepers pp, MS bakers twine, jenni bowlin butterflies and banner stickers, recollections bling and Prima flowers! I had fun creating this LO!

This is for Noeleen's 'First' challenge over at Treasuredscrapbooking! I used My Mind's Eye..laundry line paper, Jenni Bowlin butterfly, MS and Fiskars punches, Kelly Panacci chipboard flowers and stickers, MM foam stamps and rub on letters! This is the first time that my Niece held her baby sister in the hospital...she was so excited and so proud!

Feathers & Fun!

Here is a lo that I made for Sassy Lil' Sketches. I wanted this lo to be colorful and fun, but not be too much to take away from the photos (I am hysterical everytime I see these silly pics). I used American Crafts papers and computer generated the journaling. I pleated the paper and used Tim Holtz's tiny attatcher to keep it together and I added a strip of ribbon to the top. I made the flower with come white crepe paper and spritzed it with electric blue mist. I added some chipboard shapes and cut circles with different pattern paper for the scallop border at the top. I used assorted letters for the title!

I've got crimps.....

Yes, that is crimps and not cramps...lol!! This card is for a challenge over at Treasuredscrapbooking.com....we were to create a crimped envelope card following the directions from Splitcoaststampers.com. The crimping adds so much dimension! So I created this card with some Sassafrass Lass 'Vintage Yummy' papers and cardstock stickers and then stamped happy birthday and used a scallop punch and added a large blue ribbon bow!

Minnie Mouse!

There is a color challenge over at treasuredscrapbooking.com, when I saw the colors I knew I needed to start on my Disney album from over 2 years ago...lol! We had to use primary colors....red, blue, white, black and yellow. What could be more perfect for a Disney LO....I chose to scrap these sweet pics of my little Minnie! I used a Martha Stewart punch for the border, some papers, stickers and a Minnie bookmark that I bought in Disney. I used cricut and Mickey cart for the title letters and the Minnie face...I used stickles for her face also! I used a fiskars Mickey head punch and some ribbon! This color challenge was just what I needed to get a start on my album...I look foward to creating more lo's from our trip!!

Time for Cards!

I don't seem to get much time to scrap lately...I think it is the Spring cleaning...lol!! I bought the crafty paper stack at Joann's the other day and I couldn't wait to use it on a card. Both cards were inspired by a card sketch magazine. I sewed the card (not so straight) and handstitched the border strip. The sentiments was done with rubon letters!I also added some buttons on top of the button paper!

The birdies on this card were lifted from the same magazine. I started with the button and hand cut the wings. I used a fine tip pen to add the beak, the feet and the tail...I think they are just the sweetest little birdies!

Easter Pictures!

Hello, I hope you all had a wonderful Easter!
We had beautiful weather! The kids woke up to the bunny shedding in the house, baskets and an egg hunt! They were so excited and loved their stuff! They look foward to the egg hunt every year! We went to dinner on the water with my Parents and had a wonderful dinner! We just had a great day together together!

Easter Portraits!

We decided it was time for another portrait of the kids! We haven't done one for 5 years and I wanted to capture them at the cute ages that they are at. So, we went to Sears with their Easter outfits on and the kids were so cooperative..the man said he had so much fun working with them...uuhhmm, excuse me...really! My daughter was modeling and she asked if she could do her own pose..the man said yes...so she lays on the mat and sprawls out, flips her hair and poses for the camera...my husband and I were looking at eachother...like..what was that!!!!! The man behind the camera was on my sons case about his smile and my son was starting to get embarrased and irritated...he doesn't like to show his teeth, but we got some great pics of him! Of course after I saw all of the pictures, I had to have them. With all the coupons that I had it only came to $40, which is alot less than I expected, so I am really pleased with the pictures, the quality and the price! I am so excited to share these special pictures of my children! I hope you all have a blessed Easter!
Hugs,
Jeannine

Feather's & Fun @ Michael's!!

Ok, so we had a trip into Michael's...the kids love going there...they can spend as much as I do on stickers, papers and crafts!! I was looking at some items on clearance and the kids ran to the next isle...after a few seconds...seconds mind you...this is what I found.........

I grabbed the camera...almost always have it with me....and snapped these hysterical photos! When I saw my son I immediately thought of Steven Tyler...we were hysterical laughing!!
